Now in its fifteenth year, the program has grown from a club of three students to a co-curricular organization of twenty to thirty. Our purpose is to educate the athletic training students in the field of Athletic Training and expose them to all of the sports and athletic situations at RCC. Additionally, we are able to facilitate the process of transferring interested students into accredited Athletic Training Programs. Currently we have 15 former students who have graduated from accredited Athletic Training programs at a university and nine former students currently working through Athletic Training programs. One former student is pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy and two attending Graduate programs in Athletic Training.

The primary goals of the program are:
- Provide health care services to the athletes at RCC
This adds to the quality of the student experience by being involved with the athletic program, individual teams and athletes.
Develops term to term continuity by assigning gradual levels of responsibility, developing knowledge levels and building commitment.
Expose the student to the field of athletic training
Provides an avenue of access by providing a direction with guidance.
Adds to the quality of experience because the students are part of a group, they can take on the identity of athletic training student, be given responsibility and take ownership of their direction and goals.
- Guide, motivate and facilitate transfer readiness
We develop an individual academic plan for each student so that when they are done with RCC they are CSU transfer eligible and will have met the requirement for athletic training programs that each specific college requires.
The students are held accountable for their GPA
The students are guided and coached on resume building and interview skills.
If you are interested in becoming a part of the educational program at RCC or need more information, you can contact us through the staff page or by downloading and sending in an application.
